A Call for Cross-Ideological Platforms

Consider this a call. A dire call for action to all creative people that have the energy, technological know-how and a thirst for individual freedom. We need alternative platforms that will compete against YouTube, Twitter and Facebook. Our realities and our beliefs are being increasingly shaped by these organizations. Although you might be immune to their propaganda, your neighbors and your friends are becoming useful idiots in the information war against the founding principles of this country.

It is a disgrace to have to rely on Russian Telegram and Chinese TikTok to deliver and exchange content that is censured by mainstream social media.

For most people: going into the forest or escaping to mountains in Rambo-style living is not an option.  Also, we cannot continue to complain in the shadows, especially as we are being told that silence is no longer the option. We want to live in a society that is governed by laws that protect free speech. The free speech clauses were meant to protect opinions and expressions that are deemed uncomfortable by some and seem hurtful to others. Nice speech does not require protection. Under the guise of inclusiveness and respect for diverging viewpoints, all speech that was considered normal in not so distant past has now become taboo.

If the erosion of free speech continues, it will further consolidate and invigorate far-right forces that will eventually see their triumphant return. It will not be pretty. As all sorts of freedoms, we enjoy now, will once again be labeled as deviancy.

I had seen the emergence of alternative American platforms, such as Bitchute and Gab, which quickly became the new home for right-wing personalities escaping the ostracism of social media.

Although the flight of right-wing personalities to a new safe haven is understandable, it is not the ideal solution for a marketplace of ideas.

Both left- and right-wing platforms propagate some version of the truth. However, both are flawed as they fail to see anything beyond their comfortable belief systems. And the truth seekers on both ends of this paradigm search for supporting evidence that reinforce their current dispositions. And when one wins, the other flees and hides in the shadows.

We don’t want people retreating into their bubbles and forming cliques. That is where extremism takes roots.

In the shadows, the liberal forces form secret societies that engage in a plethora of subversive activities. They infiltrate political parties and marry into the existing elites. Once part of the establishment, all their efforts are devoted to Socialism. They galvanize useful idiots and march under the slogans of Equity and Freedom for all. As a result, all are made equal but some are more equal than others.

In the meantime, the conservative and right-wing forces continue to appeal to the natural inclinations of humans for family units, strong community and morality. Once in power, some form of persecution takes place in an effort to eradicate deviancy. The preservation of normalcy at all costs is their political playbook.

Family values, Christian morals as well as inclusive communities and gender freedom all have merits and sound as gospel truths to their adherents. They will not be able to change their minds unless all meet on an ideological battleground and spar for victories.

We all have to learn how to co-exist peacefully together. If you want Rambo-style forest-dwelling or family-farm living, you should have that choice as well. But for the rest of us, the choice is clear. Stay, voice your opinion and act on what you believe is true.

How to make that happen? The alternative platforms that cut through party lines will engage people from all walks of life.  The cross-ideological platforms will be a place of exchange, debate and ultimately a testing ground for ideas of moving forward. Instead of left-right paradigm, it will become the convergence of varies parties in the indefatigable search for common solutions.

  1. Hello,
the idea of Your “cross-ideogical” platform is a great idea. As I could not find any Impressum of this website, I do not know, whom to adress or to name.
That is the reason, that I’d rather not tell my real name at the moment, but my YT name.
And as I am a “tech-moron”, You might not adress me in Your quest.

In Your last YT-Video You ask, how the older generation were and is coping with the changes every decade or so without becoming crazy. Well, I could tell You my story which is special.
But in my opinion, every person coped with the changes as different as each ones life has developed.
Please give me Your name and an e-mail adress, so that . And how can I be sure that a human being and not some tech-bot is writing to me ?

What fascinates me is Your interest in all generations still alive and the will of finding a common ground for a reasonable and understanding beyond all paradigmas.

    Best regards
